kintsugi
A habit tracker for people who are starting over.
No punishment, no guilt, just progress at your pace.
what kintsugi means
Kintsugi is a Japanese art form where broken pottery is repaired using gold or other precious metals to fill the cracks. Instead of hiding the damage or throwing the piece away, the repair highlights the breaks as part of the object's history.
The philosophy behind it is that breakage and repair are part of something's story, not something to be ashamed of. The piece becomes more beautiful and valuable because of what it went through, not despite it.
why this exists
Built during a time when everything felt uncertain.
"I walked away from something that could've been everything. Or nothing at all. I stopped staring at what it could become and started looking at what was actually in front of me."
Starting over wasn't easy, but keeping it small kept me going. Tiny habits. Small wins. They mattered because I could actually see the change and feel it.
You don't need the full picture. You just need to start.
Read the full storyhealing, not hustling
Most habit apps punish you for missing days. This one doesn't.
What We're Rejecting
Guilt-based motivation, "never break the chain" pressure, productivity for productivity's sake, and apps that make you feel worse about yourself.
What We're Offering
Healing through consistency, progress that honors your pace, a safe place to start over, and cracks filled with gold instead of judgment.
if you've tried before
Downloaded habit apps, used them for a week, deleted them? You're in the right place.
"I always fail at this stuff"
Starting from broken is the whole point. Every past attempt is just another crack that gets filled with gold.
"I don't have the discipline"
You don't need discipline, you need something that doesn't punish you for being human. Small steps add up and you don't need to be perfect for them to count.
"I'll feel bad when I miss a day"
You won't. The shrine waits, the ghosts stay, and nothing dies or disappears. Progress pauses but it's all still there when you come back.
"This looks too complicated"
It's not a productivity system, it's just a place to show up. Log your habits, watch your shrine heal, and let the ghost jellies keep you company.
watch your shrine heal
Stay consistent and your shrine repairs itself. Gold fills the cracks.
